My blog is morphing into a travelogue. Being homeless I am now obsessing about houses and not just ordinary houses as you can see! John Wood whose mansion is depicted in these pics was Governor of IL in 1860. He was one of the first settlers in Quincy and became wealthy buying/selling land downtown Quincy.
We lived across the alley behind the John Mansion for 10 years before moving to our current location just a couple of years ago. We do miss the neighborhood! The Bickhaus Family.

That is just so cool. Must have been a difficult decision to move even though your home out in Fowler is so great!
