Mardell (former wife)--if you are following my blog you will note how much camping I'm doing these days. I remember how much you enjoyed camping and how little I did. You were right; it's fun! I used to like it a lot when I was a kid.
Anyway, I' m doing a lot of things these days you would like. Oh well.

Bud is from Cuba, IL which was my territory when I was at State Farm working as an insurance adjuster. We talked about living in central IL.
After collapsing from heat exhaustion Officer Scott Ganow picked me up and took me into Aurora. He's a great guy. Officer Ganow has been with Hamilton County and a total of 11 years in law enforcement.
Met Dean and Cynthia Avery a very nice couple who are staying at the campground in their RV. They let me use their electrical service so I could charge up my phone.
They are here for the York County Fair. Cynthia worked at the fair. They are from Gresham NR.
The Averys and I had a great conversation tonight. Thanks Averys for the conversation. Its nice to have someone to talk to out here!
Thanks to Ken Feather the park manager who may be driving me all the way across NE to the Colorado border on Monday. The rodeo is going on in Sidney NE and apparently Ken is attending it.
Two other tent campers bivouacked last night. No tweaker incidents.
Head Ranger, Ken Feather, drove me to Walmart 5 miles away so I could buy new shoes. My originals are beginning to come apart. It seems a bit soon. But it is 510 miles from Morton to York. Of course I didn't walk the entire distance.
Got some food and other necessaries too.
After dropping me back off at my camp Ken mentioned he may be heading west all the way to Sidney NE which is close to the border of Colorado. He is not 100% positive but he took my phone number and will call me to pick me up on Highway 34 as I head west towards Aurora NE tomorrow at 530am. Its a 23 mile hike. Geeeez. Ken would be leaving Monday. I should be in Aurora tomorrow late and then will stay there Sunday. Then will head to Grand Island on Monday. Ken could pick me up there.
I will be camping in Streeter Park in Aurora. They have free camping there. And it's right in town off of Rt 34.
If Ken does go west it will mean I could be in Colorado as early as Monday. Of course its still 260 miles or so from Denver but I will be that much closer!
