Actually its day 92 today. Holy Family Shrine

The engineering of this shrine us unbelievable! The views of the country side are spectacular. The visitors center is closed but the chapel is open.

So quiet. So beautiful. Amazing. Again thanks Mike and Kristine Bickhaus and children for recommending that I stop off here. Well worth it.

Robt was kind enough to drive me here from Omaha. Robt is Catholic and has been here before. Robt took me out to breakfast then drove me here.

Day 91- Holy Family Shrine Gretna NE

Robt and I went to the Holy Family Shrine in Gretna NE. So utterly beautiful and sacred!

Thanks to Mike Bickhaus and Hus family for recommending that I visit this shrine!

Day 91- Leaving for Seward/ Lincoln area.

Leaving for Seward. Robt has a ranch near Seward. He will drop me off on his way there for work.

Here in Omaha with Robert Nickos!

Staying tonite at Robert Nickos residence in Omaha. Robert was one of my supervisors when I was adjusting insurance claims. Robert will drive me to some place between Omaha and Lincoln. Want to visit the Holy Family Shrine in Gretna off of I-80 outside Omaha.

Can't wait to get back to the road tomorrow! Scary but its what I'm supposed to be doing. Can't wait to get to Denver!

Day 91- Leaving now for Omaha!

Getting ready to leave Mahnken Ranch this morning for Omaha. Will be staying at Robert Nickos home in Omaha 1 or 2 nights then start walking towards Denver.

Its a 5 hour one way trip for me and a 10 hour round trip for Mark and Susie.

Bittersweet for sure. Going to miss Mark and Susie so much. They have been terrific hosts! They have opened their home for me for so long now.

Will miss the dogs Buddy, Muffin and Wesson. And the cat, Jub-Jub and her 2 kittens. And I who can forget the cows and the horses.

The ranch is so beautiful with the rolling pastures and the woodlands and bottoms around the East Fork Chariton River. It truly is God's country out here.

I regret never meeting the 4 Mahnken sons! Maybe I will meet them in my way back east.
