My photographs show a beautiful morning on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Quincy, Illinois during my visit to Illinois.
The River was close to flood stage due to heavy rains up north in Iowa. Most of Quincy sits on a high bluff and is safe from flooding. However, the restaurants and businesses on the waterfront are in jeopardy when the River rises like this.
I took the opportunity to hike along the River bank and it's surrounding environs before heading back to the Burns home.
All in all it was a nice walk.
