Taking a look at the bean fields.

In the background of these pics you can see the tree line marking the Chariton River bottoms. I plan on hiking there and back a couple of times per day to keep staying used to carrying my backpack while hiking so when I hit the road again in Nebraska it won't come as such a shock.

The beans and corn have grown considerably since I was here last. The corn grown 2 feet in 2 weeks!

Tomorrow will hike down to the bottoms early morning and do some exploring along the river bed.
