Day 50- 90 degrees today. Prep day today.

I have at least 5 days of consecutive walking in 90 degrees 19-20 mile days. Virtually no shade and walking into the sun in the hottest part of the day.

Today is a preparation day. Re-packing my backpack. The Mahnkens have generously provided me with beef jerky and summer sausage which are excellent food sources for my walk since they last forever and don't need refrigeration. But of course, they add weight.

Need to do my laundry too. Then will call churches in Brunswick which is 21 miles away from Salisbury. That will be first stop.
