Day 41-

Today I was to get on Lois Davis's roof to clean out her gutters; however, thunder storms have approached from the west and are dumping a fair amount of rain. So, outside work is being suspended.

Lois handed me some papers to read. It concerned an archeologist who uncovered a chamber directly below the Golgotha crucifixion site in Jerusalem and found the ark of the covenant with the mercy seat intact. Allegedly, there was a black substance on the mercy seat which was tested and found to be human blood. The blood did not contain any paternal chromosomes indicating whoever shed this blood did not have a Human father.

Anyway, this chamber is directly below the crucifixion site and contained a crack through the rock caused by the earthquake that occurred when Christ gave up His Spirit, which allowed the blood from Christ to flow down the cross into the crack and seep below into the hidden chamber containing the ark and the mercy seat. The blood allegedly dripped directly onto the mercy seat!

Its a beautiful thought should it be true.  Sounds like something God would do to tie the Old Testament together with the New Testament to indicate that Christ being the High Priest sacrificed himself to be the last and only effective sacrifice to bring about the salvation of man.

Lois and I have had numerous conversations about the things of God. We have spoke of our childhood issues and stories as well. Lois has had many incidents along with physical ailments in her 79 years which have sorely tested her faith. But she has weathered them all noting that they have strengthened her trust in the Lord.

Lois related that once in the early 1990s she was feeling unusually exhausted from running her variety store, her husband's wholesale business, watching her young grandchildren and volunteering at her church. She left her house at 2 am and got to the store with the intent to work on the books. As she began to climb the stairs up to her office she could barely continue walking due to her exhaustion. She then stopped on the steps and prayed aloud to the Lord to give her strength. It was in that moment when she literally felt strength surging in her legs and she instantly felt as though she had a full nights sleep! This feeling of strength lasted not for that one night but for weeks later!

Lois told me she sees me as her fourth son and joked about adopting me!

Feeling tired I have decided to take a quick nap.
