Mac told of a Nigerian man who visited his museum. He was completely astounded by the technology of the 1930s farm machinery. He thought it represented today's level of technology because it was light years ahead of what he uses in Nigeria. In fact all he uses is a short handle hoe. He grabbed one of Macs old how's and exclaimed something in his language indicating this was the only piece of equipment he was familiar with. And, it was the only eqiipment this Nigerian used on his farm back in Africa! Mac stated that this man could never even explain this 1930s equipment to his fellow Nigerians. They would think he is crazy! Mac believes it is because of our freedom in the US which allowed us to advance in technology unlike other countries. But he warned our freedoms are slowly being taken away! Have to agree with him.
See the hoe Mac is shouldering? That's the hoe the Nigerian man grabbed and said was his only tool he used to farm in Africa. But he said his hoe was a short handle hoe.
