Mac (Don McKinley) and his son in law, Marvin Huber, started this 1930s farm museum in 1995. It all started when the two were showing a restored tractor at the Old Threshers event in Mt Pleasant IA when they overheard a father telling his son that farmers use tractors to farm with. Well that very inadequate answer from the father spurred them on to found a museum where they could show/explain exactly how machinery was used and how it evolved over the years.
Marvin's wife, Cathy, and Don's wife, Joyce, are involved in the museum as well. I met Mac and Joyce at Unity Church where they are long time members.
